A WNY Partnership to Support Children and Families
Buffalo, NY (October 26, 2015) EPIC (Every Person Influences Children), Child & Adolescent Treatment Services (CATS), Parent Network of Western New York and Journey’s Child Enrichment Center will now each provide services at 1000 Main Street, which has recently been acquired by Ciminelli Real Estate. The co-habitation of these four organizations, in the heart of the medical corridor, provides greater access to essential services to children, adolescents and families in our community.
The organizations, all dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in our community and helping individuals to reach their full potential will share resources, work together to create cross-referrals for the benefit of the families and children utilizing their services and will collaborate to develop grant and funding opportunities.
The co-location of these four organizations at 1000 Main Street will provide WNY families with greater access to immediate children’s mental health care, educational support services and resources that are key to improving our community’s well-being.
A formal open house is scheduled for Monday, November 2nd from 11 am – 12 Noon with Guest Speaker Mr. Michael Weiner, President & CEO of the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County along with comments from Michele Urbanczyk, President of EPIC; Bonnie Glazer, President of Child & Adolescent Treatment Services; Tamaira Patton, Executive Director of Journey’s Child Enrichment Center and Susan Barlow, Executive Director of Parent Network of WNY.
EPIC – Every Person Influences Children, Inc. Child & Adolescent Treatment Services (CATS) is a non-profit children’s mental health agency that provides innovative, research based preventative and treatment programs that strengthen the emotional health and safety of children in their homes, schools, and our community at large. Parent Network of WNY is a nonprofit agency devoted to empowering parents, families and professionals to make it possible for individuals with disabilities to reach their own potential and be successful.
